Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of Ray County Criminal History. Continuing to browse means that you accept them. If you disagree with any condition, discontinue use of the website.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no affiliation with a local, Missouri, or federal government agency. Neither the website nor its advertising partners offers a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its purpose is to identify public-record resources for Ray County, Missouri. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government ties. It does not store official criminal records, retrieve records, conduct official checks, or submit documents for a visitor.

Its information directs readers to custodians of Ray County records, including the sheriff, the courts, the Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository, and the Missouri Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect to independently operated research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the website is conditioned on an agreement not to:

  • Use automated bots, scrapers, or similar collection tools
  • Violate any local, state, or federal law
  • Harass, stalk, intimidate, or threaten a person
  • Rely on website content for an FCRA-regulated decision
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any system or account
  • Interfere with performance or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information found here or through a linked tool must not be used to harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate. Missouri registry information is published for public safety awareness. The Missouri State Highway Patrol warns that using it to facilitate a crime is illegal, and registry data must never become a basis for vigilante action.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports, credit files, or official background checks. Our partners' tools are not presented for evaluating applicants, insurance eligibility, credit, or housing. Data from this website or a linked tool must not be used to:

  • Evaluate creditworthiness or insurance eligibility
  • Make an employment decision
  • Evaluate a rental or housing application
  • Determine eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

A lawful check for a regulated purpose must come from an authorized official channel or a provider that complies with the FCRA and the law governing that purpose.

5. No Legal Advice

General information about Ray County records is not legal advice. Only a licensed Missouri attorney can advise how a charge, warrant, conviction, or expungement law applies to particular facts.

6. No Warranties

All content is supplied "as is," without a promise that:

  • A partner's results are complete or correctly matched
  • Information is always accurate, current, or complete
  • Service will remain available without interruption
  • The pages contain no defects, errors, or security weaknesses

Charges, dispositions, custody data, and record restrictions change. Gaps and stale details can result. Treat no website content as an official statement by a court, sheriff, or government agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to sheriff pages, court systems, state agencies, legal resources, and outside search providers. We do not operate those destinations and are not responsible for their content, availability, prices, or data practices. Their own terms apply.

8. Intellectual Property

Ray County Criminal History or its content partners own the website's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required to copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim liability for loss or damage tied to use of the website or reliance on information from it or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings arising from your use of the website or a breach of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

Missouri law governs these terms, including the Missouri Sunshine Law, Chapter 610 RSMo, and the criminal-history dissemination framework in §43.507 RSMo where public records are involved. Any dispute connected to website use must be brought in a court located in Missouri.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms. A revision becomes effective when the new language is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or terminated at any time and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect. The affected provision will be limited only as needed to make it enforceable.
